He studied for a BA in Geography, followed by a PGCE, both at Durham University. His MA and PhD in Biblical Studies were taken at Sheffield University. His missionary career took him first to Indonesia, then to the Philippines where he was Dean for Faculty at the Asian Theological Seminary, Manila.
More recently he was seconded by OMF for 11 years to teach NT Studies, Biblical Interpretation and Mission Studies at the International Christian College (ICC) in Glasgow. He has two sons who constantly distract him with the joys of football, fishing and munro-bagging in Scotland.
Nigel was a secondary teacher of Biology and Chemistry before training for the ministry in Edinburgh. After two years in Montrose as an assistant, he was called to the Parish church in Torrance, on the north-side of Glasgow, where he has been for 25 years. To his amazement, they still have not found him out! His greatest thrill in ministry is the truth that through Jesus all can ‘know the Lord from the least of them to the greatest’ (Jeremiah 31:34). He is married to Jen has four children and little hair. (The last two facts may be related.)
Born and brought up in Hertfordshire, Peter is 71, married to Liz a retired vet. They have four children and five grandchildren.

His main ministries were in a housing scheme in Edinburgh; then as Principal of Glasgow Bible Training Institute during the time it became Glasgow Bible College, where he lectured in pastoral theology. After a time as assistant to Rev Eric Alexander at St George’s Tron Church in Glasgow, he was minister of Sandyford Henderson Memorial Church Glasgow from 1997 till 2011.
Peter retired in 2011 and continues to minister through regular preaching and as Interim Moderator for two linked village congregations. He is author of ‘Introduction to the Christian Faith’ 1990, pub. Rutherford House and ‘The Effective Pastor’ 1998 and 2002, pub. Christian Focus. He is currently writing on the prophet Isaiah.
